I'm on a journey too.

About Annalise (she/her)

Annalise in the outdoors

I am a passionate, creative, down-to-earth mover who loves listening and asking questions to help others recognize the movement of God in their life.

After growing up in Boise, Idaho, I earned a BFA in Dance at the University of Minnesota. Then I spent a year touring with a performing-arts organization in South Africa.

Before moving to South Africa, I met an amazing South African who happened to live in Idaho. We got married, moved, and after a few years in Michigan, landed in Princeton, New Jersey. My husband began coaching tennis at Princeton University, and I embarked upon a four-year journey at Princeton Theological Seminary, earning my MDiv as well as my MA in Christian Education and Formation.

While I have worked in youth and young adult ministry for over 10 years, I was also a very (!!!) underqualified farmhand at Princeton Seminary’s Farminary, served as a Millennial Consultant for the Zoe Project, led a five-day, farm-based experimental retreat for young adults called Cultivate, and continue to consult with Ministry Architects

After seminary, I felt a deep pull toward training as a spiritual director and completed a two-year Spiritual Direction training program with Oasis Ministries under Glenn Mitchell.

Now I teach, facilitate movement workshops, and offer Spiritual Direction with the hope of helping individuals and groups take steps toward wholeness and flourishing.

In my spare time you will find me walking around outside barefoot, dancing in the kitchen with my son, watching tennis matches, going to the theater, dreaming up my next trip, and playing with my whoodle puppy (okay, he’s seven but still acts like a 40 lb. puppy).
